Welcome to the Kukana units. All units newly decorated, furnished, and very clean. These are great rentals for surfers, as they are located across the street, from Velseyland, a great surfing spot on the North Shore.
Ted's Bakery, with it's famous pies and pastries is only located down the
street. They serve island style breakfast and plate lunches from 7 AM until
2 PM. Head Ewa (south) towards Hale'iwa and you'll pass Kammie's Market and
Sunset Pizza. They have great pizza, salads and sandwiches. They also serve
breakfast and have live music once a week. A Taste of Paradise is the blue
building with the big statue in front. The Brazilian Style menu consists of
fresh local fish, Kahuku shrimp, local organic greens and a variety of other
ONO (delicious) dishes. It's incredibly reasonable and the staff is friendly
and warm.
Across from Shark's Cove (for some of the best snorkeling and diving on the
island) you will find The Hut. Watch the dolphins and whales from an outdoor
table while enjoying a Hawaiian style breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or just
sit and take in the sunset. If youšd like to cook at home, Foodland has all
the groceries youšll need. Therešs a Starbuck's there, too, for an early
morning brew.
Then it's off to Hale'iwa for shopping and socializing. Try the Paradise
Salad at Hale'iwa Joešs or the Prime Rib; they're famous for it!!
If you don't feel like driving, The Bus stops right in front of the house
and costs $1.50. You can ride for a block or around the entire island for the same
great price!
