Aloha! and welcome to the Barking Sands Hales. Located on the sunny West Side of Kauai in the historical sugar plantation area, Lodging away from the crowded madness across the street from the blue Pacific Ocean. This is The Place, located on the very sunny side of Kauai, we like to think of it as the Palm Springs of the ocean. This vacation home and cottage are located across the road from an all sand beach known as Barking Sands and stretches for miles in either direction with very few people on this secluded beach. Keep in mind, you are only a short distance from the top of Waimea Canyon which is at 4,000 ft. elevation. Be sure to bring your binoculars because from your front deck or lanai you can view whales while you are barbecuing your fresh Hawaiian fish.
The Hale Aloha is a stand alone vacation cottage, elevated for good ocean view, and ideal for honeymoon or small family.
The Hale Moana vacation home has a great lanai that runs the length of the house for outside dining and hanging out. The house is elevated for a good view of the beach and water.
For Family reunions or groups traveling together yet desiring privacy, this is the perfect place! We have several separate guest accommodations to handle all your needs. Also View HUI ALOHA One and Two Bedroom Duplex and KEKAHA: One and Two Bedroom duplexes with Privacy and BEACH Views
Good boogie board beach and near surf spots. Also close to BABY beach. (Can sit in water with baby). This is like Hawaii 75 years ago. Kekaha La 2 is my personal favorite. The West Side of Kauai has the sunniest and warmest weather year round and is characterized by its unspoiled and uncrowded beaches.
Recommended Local Best Kept Secrets: Poli Hale Beach Park, a huge empty beach reached through a cane field. Kalalau Lookout, a 4,000-foot drop to the sea. Kokee State Park, hike through some of the last remaining Hawaiian rain forest. Anini Beach, a vast, foot deep reef. Alakai swamp boardwalk.
